A Collection of Stories of Kindness & Connection
What does Love More Live More mean to you?
At its heart, it’s about giving kindness to others and helping each person discover more love and more life in everyday moments. Kindness doesn’t need to be grand — a smile, a kind word, a hug, or encouragement can ripple far beyond what we see. It uplifts both the giver and the receiver. Love More Live More is not just a message, but a way of life. We dream of a worldwide movement where compassion is shared freely, reminding us that we are all connected. Together, we can create a world where love flows across borders, kindness bridges divides, and every person is encouraged to live fully. Today, and every day, don’t forget to truly live while you are alive.
Saving Lives in Ojochal, Cortés & Punta Mala (Costa Rica)
The Challenge
Costa Rica’s South Pacific Zone is known for its beauty, but also for life-threatening risks: – Ambulance response times are long due to distance and terrain. –
- Sudden cardiac arrest survival drops 7-10% per minute without defibrillation.
- Local beaches face frequent drownings and spinal injuries, yet equipment and emergency resources are minimal.
Current Gaps
- Ambulances are under-equipped and often delayed.
- No public-access AEDs in high-traffic community or beach areas.
- Lifeguards often lack basic stabilization kits for near-drowning or spinal/neck/back injuries.
Our Response
Love More Live More proposes a comprehensive lifesaving initiative:
- 15 AEDs strategically placed in public and beach locations (schools, restaurants, markets, beaches).
- 5 Lifeguard Emergency Kits including oxygen, cervical collars, backboards, trauma supplies, and PPE. – Community CPR/AED training to empower locals and responders. Impact Potential – AEDs can increase survival rates from
- 9% (CPR only) to 25-40%+ when shocks are
- Lifeguards equipped with emergency kits can stabilize victims until medical teams
- Safer beaches protect both locals and visitors, strengthening community confidence and tourism sustainability.
- Funding Request
- 15 AEDs @ $1,500 each = $22,500
- 5 Lifeguard Kits @ $2,000 each = $10,000
- Balance for Lifeguard Transportation & Coverage Fund Total
- Project Goal: $30,000 USD

Kalyn’s House – A Place of Dignity and Care (Branson, Missouri)
The Challenge
Taney County faces significant economic hardship:
- Nearly 15% of residents (over 8,300 people) experience food insecurity, with child hunger rates approaching 18%. – 14-16% of the population lives below the poverty line; median household income is $58,000.
- Families struggle with housing costs — homeowners with mortgages average ~ $1,308/ month, renters~$925/month, while 14.5% of residents face severe housing problems. These realities leave many families unable to meet basic needs with dignity.
Our Response
Kalyn’s House was created as a compassionate alternative. This is not a public thrift store. Instead, it is a referral-based community hub where families in need – directed by partners such as Elevate, Christian Action Ministries, schools, and churches — can shop for essentials at minimal cost. This model: – Preserves dignity by offering families choice. – Strengthens families by providing clothing, household items, and daily necessities. – Extends the legacy of Kalyn Anne Pippin by ensuring love and compassion take root locally.
Impact Potential
By meeting practical needs in a dignified way, Kalyn’s House reduces the strain of poverty and empowers families to focus on building stronger, more stable futures. Donor support ensures consistent inventory, sustainable operations, and partnerships that multiply impact in Taney County. - At School – Classroom Kindness: Students exchanged bracelets during Kindness Week. One boy wrote that the bracelet helped him “remember to be nicer to his sister.”
- Visions and Collaborations: Where compassion becomes a lasting impact. Where compassion becomes a lasting impact. Love More Live More thrives when we come together with others who share the vision of compassion, dignity, and kindness. Collaboration is how small acts of love grow into movements that change lives.
Venezuela Migrants – The Journey North
A country once known for education and cutting-edge technology, Venezuela has become a place of poverty, corruption, and violence. Families are unable to find work, fuel, or even food for their children. Years of growing up in hunger have left permanent scars on many young people. Not long after we moved to Costa Rica, we began seeing hundreds of Venezuelan families arriving — parents carrying children, pushing carts, and walking mile after mile with little more than determination and hope. At first, I was struck by their resilience: entire families who had walked unimaginable distances and still carried an absolute belief that they would be okay once they reached safety. Curious about their journey, I learned of the Darién Gap — one of the most treacherous crossings in the world. Jungle, rivers, bandits, and exhaustion greet every traveler there. And yet, these families pressed forward. When we had the chance to meet some of them, we offered small tokens: water, food, bracelets that glow in the dark. The children’s smiles lit up as if we had given them treasures. For them, it wasn’t just the bracelets — it was the kindness, the acknowledgment, the reminder that strangers cared. Their courage stays with me. Every bracelet shared along that journey is not just a symbol of hope, but a reminder that love knows no borders.
St. Martin – Remembering and Connecting
On a recent visit to St. Martin, I arrived on the anniversary of Hurricane Irma – the storm that devastated over 95 percent of the island and claimed many lives. That morning, I stepped into a small coffee shop. Behind the counter was a woman working alone, her eyes full of tears. She explained that it was the anniversary of the hurricane. Many shops were closed to honor the lives lost, and the grief was still heavy on her heart. I looked at my wrist, where I usually carry a bracelet to give away – but this time, I didn’t have one there. Almost instinctively, I reached into my pocket, and to my surprise, I found a spare bracelet I didn’t even know was there. She made me a coffee, and when I placed her tip on the counter, I added the bracelet and slid it toward her. Her face softened as tears welled up again, but this time they were mixed with gratitude. We exchanged a smile — a simple, human connection that carried more weight than words could. I walked out of that café with my heart lighter, hoping her day was a little brighter too. For both of us, it was a reminder that kindness often arrives at just the right moment.
Spain – The Coat and the Book
On a frosty morning in Spain, Brent awoke with a strong feeling – he was supposed to give away his coat. He had another, smaller jacket to wear, but this one was large, warm, and perfect for someone who might have to sleep outside in the cold. The challenge was finding someone. In that part of Spain, it wasn’t common to see people living on the streets. But Brent felt a quiet conviction. He had been told he would find someone within fifteen minutes of searching. Ten minutes passed. No one. Not a single person with their belongings, no one sleeping in the street. Still, he kept walking. Finally, as the fifteen minutes nearly ended, Brent spotted a man with a well-organized setup: a luggage cart that served as a bed at night and a seat by day. Brent approached him and asked if he could use the coat. The man’s face lit up — yes, he would be grateful to have it. Brent also gave him a few euros and a Love More Live More bracelet. To Brent’s surprise, the man spoke English. They struck up a conversation, sharing where they were from and what had brought them there. Then the man rummaged through his belongings and pulled out a book on U.S. politics – written in Spanish and a few years old. He pressed it into Brent’s hands as a gift. Brent smiled and promised he would read it one day. What began as a search for someone in need turned into a connection, a gift exchanged for a gift, and a new friend made on a cold morning in Spain.
Costa Rica – Protecting Lives at the Beach
The Ojochal area of Costa Rica is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world – but also some of the most dangerous. Deadly rip currents silently pull both locals and unsuspecting tourists into danger. Despite the risks, the area has very few lifeguards, almost no emergency gear, and limited ambulance support. At one local beach, the lifeguard stand wasn’t even tall enough for lifeguards to see far into the water to help swimmers in distress. Love More Live More stepped in to help. Together with the community, we built a new lifeguard stand and provided essentials like sunscreen and sunglasses for those keeping watch. Whenever we can, we buy the lifeguards lunch – and of course, we share Love More Live More bracelets, which they wear proudly. The bracelets remind them that their daily acts of courage and care are part of something bigger: a movement to love more and live more. This coastline is beloved by locals and travelers alike. By supporting the lifeguards, we help make the beaches a safer place where families, friends, and visitors can connect with the sand, the sea, and the joy of life.
Rwanda – Joy in Simple Gestures
In Rwanda, a nation where many families live as subsistence farmers, we had the privilege of visiting rural villages to share school supplies, fruit, and small trinkets with the children. Their joy was overwhelming — you would have thought we had given them gold bars. A few days later, as we drove through the same area, some of those same children recognized us. They came running behind our car, smiling and waving, until we stopped to share water and another brief but beautiful moment of connection. Today, when we return, we bring glowing bracelets – small tokens of kindness that light up the night. Our hope is that when the children look at their glowing wrist, they remember that strangers once came from far away not just to give, but to connect — to share love, laughter, and the simple joy of being seen.
Tanzania – From Strangers to Family
On our third visit to Tanzania, a local gentleman shared something profound: “When you visit once, you are a welcome stranger. When you visit twice, you are friends. But the third time, you are family.” And now, we truly have our Tanzanian family. Each time we brought boxes of school supplies to the local children. On our most recent trip, the community proudly showed us the school they had built with the help of a local group. The children sang a song for us, their voices filled with joy, and we spent the day laughing and learning together with students and teachers. This experience reminds us that kindness creates bonds across cultures, and with every act of giving, we weave connections that make the world feel smaller, warmer, and more united.
Closing Message
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Love More Live More is more than a bracelet, more than a story – it is a movement of kindness, compassion, and connection that spans across borders. Every act of generosity, every moment of encouragement, every spark of love shared helps create a world where people not only live, but live fully. Together, we can make kindness contagious. Together, we can remind the world that love is the greatest legacy. “Don’t forget to live while you are alive.”
